Refund Policy
Version of 13 August 2026. Effective from the date of publication.
1. General provisions
1.1. This policy sets out the grounds for and the procedure of refunds of amounts paid for a subscription to the Banshee service (the "Service") and forms an integral part of the terms of use.
1.2. The Operator of the Service is Anton Shvets, a natural person, Vietnam. Address for enquiries: support@banshee.quest.
2. What is being paid for
2.1. A subscription provides access to the Service for one month with the five-hour and weekly limits set for the selected tier. Prices are stated in US dollars.
2.2. The charge is made at the beginning of the month being paid for. Unused limits are neither preserved nor carried over to the following period.
2.3. Access is granted immediately upon payment. The service is a digital one and is treated as being supplied from the moment access is granted.
3. Who decides on a refund
3.1. Decisions on refunds are taken by the Operator. Payment is made by the seller which received the payment, by the same means as the original payment.
3.2. Refund requests are addressed to the Operator.
4. Grounds for a full refund
4.1. Amounts paid are refunded in full in the following cases:
- Withdrawal within 14 days. No more than 14 days have passed since the charge and less than one fifth of the weekly limit has been consumed. No reasons need to be given. Current consumption is displayed in the "Subscription" section.
- Erroneous charge. A duplicate charge, a charge after cancellation of the subscription, a charge at the wrong tier, or a charge after deletion of the account.
- Unavailability of the Service. The Service was unavailable through the Operator's fault for more than 24 consecutive hours. At the user's option, the amount paid for the month is refunded or the subscription is extended by the corresponding period.
- Termination of access through no fault of the user. Access was terminated by decision of the Operator in the absence of any breach by the user, or because the Service ceased operation. The refund covers the unexpired paid period.
- Account registered by a minor. All amounts paid are refunded, irrespective of consumption of the limit and of the time elapsed.
5. Right of withdrawal
5.1. Consumers in the European Union and in other states whose law grants such a right have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving reasons.
5.2. By taking out a subscription, the user requests that performance of the service begin immediately and thereby acknowledges that the right is lost in respect of the service actually supplied.
5.3. Clause 4.1 of this policy grants the user a greater entitlement than clause 5.1.
5.4. A notice of withdrawal is sent in free form to support@banshee.quest.
6. Cases in which no refund is made
6.1. No refund is made:
- where the paid month has been used and the limits consumed: the cost of requests to language models was paid to their providers at the moment those requests were processed;
- where access was terminated for a breach of section 5 of the terms of use. For a breach of clause 5.1 of the terms of use no refund is made; for a breach of clause 5.2, amounts paid for a period which has been paid for but has not yet begun are refunded;
- where the user is dissatisfied with content generated by a language model. The limitations on the quality of generated content are set out in clauses 4.2 to 4.7 of the terms of use. This does not apply where the Service is inoperative.
6.2. No partial refund is made for unused days of a paid month: subscriptions are counted in whole months.
7. Refund where the subscription has not been used
7.1. Where a subscription has renewed automatically and the user has taken no action in the game during the paid month, the amount paid for that month is refunded in full upon their request.
7.2. This ground may be relied upon once per account.
8. How to request a refund
8.1. A request is sent to support@banshee.quest from the email address given at registration, stating the date of the charge.
8.2. The period for reviewing a request is three business days.
8.3. Where the request is granted, the amount is remitted by the same means as the original payment within ten business days.
8.4. The time taken for the funds to be credited is determined by the user's bank and is usually between one and five business days.
8.5. Currency conversion fees withheld by the user's bank are not refundable by the Operator.
8.6. Tax withheld upon payment is refunded together with the amount of the payment; it is calculated and refunded by the seller.
8.7. A refusal is given with reasons in writing. The user may send objections to the same address.
9. Disputing a payment with the bank
9.1. A user intending to dispute a payment is advised to contact the Operator first: a request under section 8 is dealt with more quickly than a chargeback procedure.
9.2. While a chargeback is being processed, access to paid subscription tiers is suspended. User content is retained.
10. Cancelling a subscription
10.1. Automatic renewal is cancelled by the user in the "Subscription" section at any time, without contacting the Operator.
10.2. Access is retained until the end of the paid month; no further charges are made.
10.3. User content is retained; at the end of the paid period the user is moved to the free tier.
10.4. Automatic renewal may be resumed in the same section.
10.5. Cancellation of a subscription is not a ground for a refund of the paid month which has already begun, save in the cases set out in sections 4 and 7 of this policy.
